URGENT | ODI Developer

Eden Recruitment is working closely with a Multinational company which is currently rolling out its Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse function.

The main bulk of the companies BI/DWH team is based out of Ireland and they now wish to add additional team members on contract basis.

Right now they have a requirement for an ODI Developer Contractor to engage with them for a 6 month duration (potential for the role to extend beyond the initial assignment period).

Core Role Responsibility:

The Business Intelligence Developer / Data Integration Developer will work on a number of key internal Data Warehouse and Data Integration projects which will involve the use of Oracle database technologies (including ODI).

Suitable contractors will have a strong track record in ETL, Business Intelligence development, Data integration and Data Warehouse development.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Work with business and IT managers to clarify business solution requirements.
• Design and agree Business Intelligence (BI) solutions.
• Provide technical consultancy in own specialist area, as appropriate, to support the project work of others.
• Report any issues and updates to IT Management.

Career Experience and Qualifications:

Suitable contractors will be able to hit the ground running and add value to the team from day one.

We expect the successful applicant to have the following profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5yrs working successfully within a Data Integration environment (Solution design on Data warehouse solutions).
• Design and development experience working with data warehouse models with ETL software tools (i.e. ODI (preferred), Informatica, Datastage or OWB).
• Experience of Data Integration and solution design and good knowledge of Business Intelligence architecture.
• Understands data warehouse design best practices and approaches (good knowledge of Enterprise Data Model and Master Data management concepts would be advantageous).

IMPORTANT: As this is an Independent Contract Role, ONLY applicants with valid EU Zone Passports will be considered for this role (No VISA sponsorship available).

Some travel may be required for this role (UK, Europe, USA)
