Senior Relationship Manager Corporate Banking

Job requirements

To achieve income for the Group by originating leads, building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients in order to identify and sell innovative cash and clearing management solutions to a sector of  the banks Corporate clients. 

Responsibility for pricing, reviewing and negotiating the full range of cash management services for a portfolio of clients within the Corporate Sectors, together with effecting any cost reduction initiatives required by the the Group. The jobholder is ultimately responsible for new sales revenue and the retention and growth of existing clients and income aligned to a portfolio within the relevant Sectors.

This role will acquire, maintain and grow profitable long-term relationships with allocated clients within  sector/country. The main responsibility of this role is to provide relationship support to senior staff for key clients, grow revenues across allocated portfolio, successfully manage and serve existing business relationships and originate new revenue streams.

The tasks for this role will include some or all of the following:

  • Develop ‘Trusted Advisor’ relationship and access at key decision maker level for assigned clients
  • Work to continue to reposition the firm to higher value added solicitation, enhancing the perception of the Bank amongst its existing and prospective clients
  • Co-ordinate origination and execution of activities across the spectrum of Global Liquidity & cash Management products
  • Establish and maintain networks for co-operation with other bank businesses, to support the creation of solutions to customer needs that span geographical/product boundaries and regulatory environments
  • Combine client relationship management with strong risk assessment and management capabilities ensuring the required credit quality & requisite returns on risk
  • Identify event driven opportunities on an opportunistic basis, bringing in sector/country expertise as appropriate
  • Grow the banks share of client wallet involving product specialists to ensure product capabilities are in line with client/sector requirements.

Experience Required:

  • Must have origination / business development experience, handling high level complex deals
  • Extensive experience of global cash management techniques, market, competitive environment, trends and regulatory environment
  • Detailed knowledge of day to day workings of a Corporate Treasury environment
  • Foreign exchange, payments, Global Liquidity Solutions, Collections
  • Proven sales record with demonstrable evidence of successful selling of large/complex transactions to major customers
  • Relationship Management of major client relationships
  • Dealing with customers at senior executive level
