Sales Manager Corporate Banking – Global Liquidity and Cash Management Europe

Summary of the Role :

To achieve income for the Group by originating leads, building and maintaining relationships with new clients in order to identify and sell innovative cash and clearing management solutions to both bank Commercial Banking and Global Banking clients.

Responsibility for pricing, reviewing and negotiating the full range of cash management services together with effecting any cost reduction initiatives required by the bank Group. The jobholder is ultimately responsible for new sales revenue and the retention and growth of existing clients and income aligned to a portfolio within the Sector.

Knowledge / Experience : 

  • Management experience 
  • European Cash Management
  • Euro Clearing Services 
  • Global Cash Management 
  • International Banking Knowledge 
  • Treasury Foreign Exchange Knowledge 
  • Broad based knowledge of the bank Group companies and product ranges 
  • Proven Sales Record 
  • Global Banking experience 
  • Relationship Management experience

Qualifications and/or Training Courses:

  • Association of Corporate Treasurers Cert. C.M. qualification 
  • ACIB 
  • Clean driving licence 
  • Managerial, Technical and Inter-personal skills
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management both within the HSBC Group and at the client e.g. Ministers, Senior Civil Servants, Financial Directors, Treasurers 
  • High level of oral and written communication skills 
  • Presentation skills, including public speaking 
  • Negotiation / Persuasion Skills 
  • Time Management Skills 
  • Additional European language desirable
