JobTitle: Operations Specialist – Insurance 

Reponsibilties of the Role:

Our client is a European leader in banking and financial services that ranks among the world’s top 15 banks by market capitalization. This company offers motor insurance to the customers of other Group members in 12 European countries and target to extend to all EU countries where Arval is present.

 

The Operations department would like to recruit an Operations Specialist. The person fulfilling this role will report to the Head of Operations.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with existing operations staff to meet monthly deadlines
  • Reconcile data provided by third parties
  • Follow the IT interface processes with data providers and liaise with their IT staff regarding the quality of data exchange
  • Ensure that the Data Quality is maintained to the highest standards in line with the objectives
  • Follow all controls as required in the analysis of data
  • Work with all departments, Finance, Claims, Underwriting and others to provide the required data to meet ad-hoc queries and month-end deadlines
  • Work and communicate with central IT teams to increase and advance the operational benefits of central platforms
  • Assistance with IT issues and deployments, PC’s, laptops, Wyse terminals, Telephony etc
  • Assistance with enforcing periodic procedures and controls and documentation of same
  • All other duties, including ad hoc projects and/or travel, as assigned by your Manager

 

Qualifications & Experience required for this role:

  • Knowledge of SAS or SQL Programming is preferred 
  • Strong IT skills are essential – especially Excel
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills required
  • Ability to collate financial data and prepare reports
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to relate to both business & IT specialists, working in different locations
  • Insurance experience is an advantage
  • Willingness to acquire a relevant insurance qualification
  • Fluency in English is essential and knowledge of French is a definite advantage
