Role: Legal Associate – German desk

Location: Dublin

Duration: 6 months contract  

Language: Fluent German and English  

Salary: €20.75 p/hr (pro-rata of 43160 p/a) + free gym, pool, canteen, pro rata of 25 days holidays, and many more!

As a Legal Associate, you will support the key strategic priorities of the Video sharing platform Legal Operations team. You will provide dynamic service and support to my clients users while keeping to productivity and compliance requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and German fluently and idiomatically.
  • No legal background required but it is an advantage
  • 3 years of experience working with internet law and/or privacy.
  • Experience driving projects to completion, paired with initiative and goal-driven productivity.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets, SQL, HTML, CSS, and/or Python.
  • Familiarity with internet technologies and related policy and regulatory environments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Gmail, Calendar, Google Drive (docs, spreadsheets, presentations)

Responsibilities

Day-to-day responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding legal removals processes. Create documentation and training materials for existing and new policies and procedures.
  • Understand and remain up-to-date with removal policies and guidelines
  • Process removal requests efficiently and accurately. Analyze and identify content that is not in compliance with requirements and flag for action in a timely manner
  • Develop internal and external educational materials, and design new workflows to support the strategic directions of the business.
  • Design and drive process improvements and infrastructure solutions to scale our operations and enhance operational quality.
  • Perform quality review of processed complaints and provide feedback to team members.
  • Understand and remain up-to-date with removal policies and guidelines
  • Make well-balanced decisions and help resolve inquiries according to defined policies and procedures
  • Serve as an advocate for the user community
  • Review the reported content within agreed turnaround times and standards of quality
  • Recognize trends and patterns, and escalate issues to the relevant teams in timely manner
  • Respond to user inquiries with high quality, speed, empathy, and accuracy
  • Gather, analyze, and utilize relevant data to develop ways to improve the overall user experience
  • Use market specific knowledge, signals, and insights to spot and scope scalable solutions to improve the support of user community
  • Identify inefficiencies in workflows and suggest solutions
  • Review of sensitive content sometimes involving graphic or disturbing content
