Hotel Operations Manager – Dublin

 

We currently have an amazing opportunity to work with one of our long-standing clients as a Hotel Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ Hotel management experience in a 4* or 5* Hotel environment.

 

Duties:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective operational management of the Food & Beverage, Conference & Banqueting and Front of House areas of the hotel.

 

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the smooth running of the Hotel Operations
  • Achieve hotel budgets and other short and long-term hotel strategic goals
  • Provide effective guidance to the management team and team members to ensure targets are met and exceeded
  • Plan, direct and coordinate the service delivery of all departments in order to meet and exceed guest expectations
  • Ensure that costs are controlled throughout the departments
  • Manage and develop the Heads of Department
  • Work closely with all departments so as to achieve required targets in relation to Revenue, Payroll and GP percentages
  • To manage and update all SOP’s
  • To manage wages on a weekly basis in all areas and ensure they are in line with budgeted wage percentage 

 

Requirements:

  • A degree in Hotel Management
  • Solid Hotel management experience in a 4* Hotel environment preferably as a Food & Beverage Manager or Operations Manager
  • Hands on experience in Hotel operations, specifically, Food & Beverage; Conference & Banqueting and Front of House
  • Ability to develop and implement systems of operation
  • High level of commercial and financial knowledge including budgeting and forecasts
  • Ability to apply a common-sense approach to problem solving and foresight to anticipate and prevent problems developing
  • Excellent leadership and management skills with a strong work ethic
  • Experience in managing payroll budgets and forecast revenue
  • Proven leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve high levels of performance and exceed targets
  • Accountable and resilient, with high energy and enthusiasm
  • Ability to work under pressure
