Overall Job Purpose:

To provide proactive management of claims in order to achieve high levels of satisfaction for the insured and broker through high quality claim management, resolution and excellent client service.



 Processing all classes of commercial claims in an efficient and timely manner to achieve prompt resolution and settlement by working closely with insurers and loss adjusters.

 Liaise with clients, insurers, loss adjusters and other relevant parties when acting as the agent of a client during claims.

 Maintain company records on claims and produce reports on claims activity for account directors and management as and when required.

 Provide MI updates to the Board on a monthly basis.

 To liaise with colleagues to identify improvements in internal and external claims procedures.

 To ensure the claims procedures adhere to the recent GDPR legislative requirements.

 To maintain current knowledge with regard to industry compliance and claims regulation.

 To maintain relationships with the existing client base by providing first line contact face-to-face or telephone advice and support.

 To continue personal development by completion of ongoing insurance qualifications and/or training to improve personal knowledge of the industry and company business.

 To carry out administrative duties as required

 To attempt to resolve complaints within 48 hours referring any unresolved complaints promptly to the Operations Executive.

 Ensuring the customer is treated fairly and that the customer receives excellent service in accordance with industry and company guidelines.

 Maintaining quality and customer service standards keeping accurate records and ensuring client records on our software are up to date.

 Other ad-hoc duties that the employer determines fall within the job-holders’ capabilities.


Knowledge and Experience

 Good understanding general & legal principles of insurance

 Good understanding of Irish and UK insurance market

 Awareness of the regulatory environment and requirements

 Understanding of broking and underwriting process

 Specific product knowledge

 Knowledge of claims processing

 Claims experience/experience of working within an insurance and client-facing environment e.g. experience in handling/executive role

 Experience in a high pressure, multi-task environment

 Knowledge and understanding of the Relay software package

 Experience working with Microsoft Office to include excel and PowerPoint



 An accredited insurance industry qualification – CIP

 Compliant with CPD requirements & complete 15 formal hours of CPD each calendar year



 Salary will be Commensurate with experience

 Insurance examinations needed will be sponsored by the employer
