Field Service Engineer – Servers, Firewalls, Cloud
I’m working with a business that is offering the opportunity for you to build on your existing skills and provide you exposure to the latest technology, in a multi customer environment.
This role will be a mix of remote and onsite support, maintenance, advice and project related services across a wide range of client profiles. It will involve you providing detailed customer reports, assessments and recommendations based on site visits and client interactions.
As this is a client facing position you will be presentable, approachable and capable of communicating technical information in an informative way to non-technical users. You will also be proactive in your approach, the emphasis is on prevention rather than cure when supporting clients.
Your background will need to include a minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a managed services environment. Naturally you’ll need to demonstrate your skills with installing, troubleshooting and managing end user device operating systems and common applications.
Other experience you’ll need to demonstrate includes Firewalls, Servers, Network configuration, Cloud based services such as O365 and online backup.
This opportunity is going to suit a person with a strong technical aptitude and interest in technology, who is people focused, able to communicate clearly with non-technical people and is self-motivated.
It would be ideal if you had a degree but more important is your experience coupled with relevant Industry qualifications e.g. Microsoft / Cisco / Fortinet.
The position is based outside of Dublin but will involve covering client sites. Transport is provided but you’ll need to have a driving licence, as you’d expect laptop and mobile provided.
Salary is in line with your experience and the client is willing to pay €35 – €40k for the right person.
