Equities Settlements Specialist

Responsibilities :

  • Ensuring correct settlement of trades in over 25 EMEA countries focusing on avoiding potential penalties, risks and fines and reducing settlement costs
  • Maintenance of the firms settlement instructions (SSI) database using client notifications and the Omgeo ALERT platform
  • Contact point for clients and internal departments on all settlement issues
  • Responsible for managing problematic settlements i.e. late/failed settlement, buy-ins, corporate action entitlements issues, registration issues etc
  • Reconciliation and reporting of settlement amounts/details with clients and relevant internal departments
  • Investigation and approval of exceptional processing issues

Experience required : 

  • You will have at least 2 years + working with Equities in a settlements role
  • Preferred environments to be coming from are Stockbroking, back office or middle office from Investment house
  • Well educated, significant investment made in education; seeking a return on that investment
  • Good academic results, postgraduate degree desirable
  • Demonstrable interest in financial services, intentions for a long term, progressive career
  • Well presented, well spoken
  • Good team approach, willing to work ‘from the bottom up’, willing to work within a small team to deal with large volumes of issues
  • Quick learner, ability to work under own initiative when required
  • This role will only suit individuals who has ambition, drive, strong work ethic, business acumen, excellent interpersonal skills
