Database Administrator – Business Development & Marketing


Location: Dublin City Centre


I am working with a very well-known Professional Services Company based in Dublin City Centre who require a Database Administrator join their team Business Development and Marketing team.


The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring data quality and related processes with regard to their Client Relationship Management system. He/She will be a key support to other users of the system, particularly in terms of reporting and identifying where new and efficient ways of capturing and reporting on data are required.

 Prior experience in utilising databases is desirable but extensive knowledge of same is not essential as training will be provided.


Key Areas of Responsibility


1. Data Quality


  • Supervises integrity of new and existing data
  • Monitors data change management inbox
  • Monitors weekly unresolved & private contacts not yet added to the system
  • Manages requests produced by users and the system
  • Devises and executes data clean-up as required
  • Monitors use of contact types and updates as required
  • Monitors external sources and updates contacts
  • Actions bad data/bouncebacks following e-campaigns
  • Updates company profiles


2. On-boarding and Training


  • Manages the on-boarding of new users to the system
  • Supports creation of training programmes
  • Identifies and resolves any user training issues
  • Supports the delivery of training


3. Reporting


  • Monitors issues and user engagement and escalates as needed
  • Edits and delivers reports
  • Manages access to reporting


4. Business Development and Marketing


  • Supports BD & Marketing as needed
  • Sets central reminders for follow ups when appropriate
  • Maintains Windows folders and archive folders
  • Ensures referrals and updates are tracked and recorded


5. Technical


  • Manages system access
  • Updates and integrates system to meet new ad exisiting business requirements
  • Coordinates and participates in testing of new and existing features


Skills and Experience Required


  • 1+ years’ relevant experience
  • Strong IT (including Excel) & Communication skills
  • Experience with Databases such as SQL is desirable
  • Accuracy with good attention to detail, excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to manage own workload and work independently
