Associate Client Manager – Due Diligence / KYC

Summary of the role :

Client Management Group (CMG) provides multi-jurisdictional client onboarding support to the groups Profile Approvers teams and facilitates client review, renewal, maintenance and exit activities across company products.  The core objective of the role is to facilitate Client Due Diligence (CDD) and own the delivery of CMG service proposition for the group’s clients in Ireland and in Guernsey.  This CMG role will be responsible for the oversight and co-ordination of KYC onboarding, renewals and remediation projects, existing client maintenance, and facilitation of client exits.

Responsibilities :

  • Management,  coordination and prioritisation of all  CDD  events  on behalf  of  Group Approvers  in  Group  Ireland  and  Guernsey,  including periodic  reviews,  remediation  reviews,  new  customer  and  product requests and trigger events.
  • Responsible for ensuring CDD is reviewed, prioritized and completed in line with agreed timeframes.
  • Planning of the annual Book of CDD Work
  • Planning of client profile creation requirements with KYC Services
  • Liaise with clients on a regular basis to  obtain documentation and understand their priorities / concerns.
  • Adhere to all metrics/KRIs and ensure timely and accurate reporting to relevant parties, incl Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) and GBM.
  • Support the HSS Profile Approvers and clients in respect of HSBC’s global KYC / AML standards
  • Maintenance of Policy, Procedures, and Desk Instruction Manuals in conjunction with central CMG policy team.
  • Co-ordinates off-boarding / client exit process for KYC Services
  • Oversight of KYC Services team including case management, acting as country   escalation   point   and   ensuring   appropriate   governance framework is in place.
  • Drive process change and improvement initiatives
  • Deal with relevant RFI requests and co-ordinate with Client Managers for any cross support with Clients
  • Support Sector Heads in the delivery of wider Client Management Group strategy
  • Strong understanding of and adherence to all regulatory requirements (DFA, EMIR, FATCA, MiFID etc)
  • Support all monitoring and testing from Business Risk and Control
  • Management, FCC, Internal Audit and the Central Bank of Ireland

Experience Required :

  • 5+ years’ experience working in an AML/KYC role in a Financial Services operation, ideally in the Funds Industry.
  • Excellent understanding of AML/KYC policies and procedures and regulations.
  • Ideally educated to degree level.
  • Strong product knowledge of alternative and traditional Funds.
  • Demonstration of strong industry knowledge is essential.
  • Numeric and analytical with good attention to detail.
  • Strong and proven inter-personal, communication and supervisory skills.
  • Service oriented and customer focused.
  • Ability to ensure deadlines controls and procedures are adhered to.
  • Ability to analyse issues, and organise and proactively contribute to the team.
