Compliance / Risk Officer  – Italian

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reports directly to the Chief Risk Officer and Compliance Officer
  • Monitoring of AML/CTF processes & controls including Customer Due Diligence (“CDD”), Suspicious Transaction Reporting, Sanctions and Politically Exposed Persons (“PEPs”), monitoring policies and procedures for effectiveness and ensures any suspicions are reported to the relevant authorities;
  • Assists in ensuring that the companies risk & compliance management framework is in line with the expectations of the Board of Directors and the Central Bank of Ireland 
  • Assists in the preparation and updating of relevant risk & compliance policies for the Company
  • Assists in the preparation of the Annual Risk & Compliance Plans
  • Tracks the risk tolerances on a periodic basis to measure if the company is within set tolerance level.  Ensures that the correct escalation occurs should this not be the case.
  • Assists in the preparation of an Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) for the Company.
  • Ensuring the Company is kept up to date with regulations and Central Bank’s compliance standards;
  • Assists in implementing Compliance and reports periodically to top management;
  • Assists in preparing the Annual Compliance Plan
  • Carrying out the Compliance Plan and reports regularly to Chief Risk Officer and Compliance Officer on the state of the art.
  • Assisting the Chief Risk Officer and Compliance Officer assessing the compliance framework to manage compliance risk;
  • Reporting suspect transactions to relevant authorities according with the internal procedures.
  • Facilitates sharing of best compliance and risk management practices across the Company.
  • Facilitates Company risk assessments and monitors the capabilities around managing the priority risks across the organization.
  • Periodically facilitates holistic assessments of risk and compliance management policies, processes, competencies, reporting and systems to identify significant gaps in the capabilities around managing critical risks.
  • Works with business units and support units to establish, maintain and continuously improve risk management capabilities.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Degree educated
  • Experience of working in a Compliance role
  • Fluency in Italian and English is distinct advantage
