Administrator for Nursing Services Department

Salary: 26k-35k DOE

Duration: Maternity Cover Contract

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Director of Nursing, Directorate Nurse Managers and the Human Resources Business Partner in a fast paced environment

Administration duties

  • General administrative support to the nursing administration department
  • Provide cover for the PA to the Director of Nursing role when the post holder is on leave
  • Absence Management
  • Administering Maternity Leave & Parental Leave Applications (including Calculations, Correspondence & Time Frame)
  • Internal change of status for staff i.e. correspondence re hours / location
  • Reference Requests for Current & Past Employees
  • Work Permits & Visa Management
  • Updating of Nursing Lists in real time
  • Complete Certificates of Service
  • General Daily Duties – Typing, Filing, Telephone Queries, Staff Queries i.e. Annual Leave / Sick Leave entitlements
  • Address enquires and complaints in a timely, effective and confidential manner.
  • Liaise with staff in other departments, the public and outside agencies in a confidential and friendly manner.

Recruitment Administration

  • Maximise utilisation of the recruitment system to support role administration
  • Responsible for recruitment administration for all Nursing and Health Care Assistant positions 
  • Editing and updating of job descriptions
  • Notify successful and unsuccessful candidates
  • Responsible for pre-employment checks
  • Refer for follow up any complex/contentious issues relating to the recruitment and selection process to the Human Resources Business Partner
  • Input employees details on the HR system and update payroll
